Delete a Chess Platform Account

Open Chess Platform → Settings → Account → Delete account. Read the warning, continue, type the displayed confirmation word, and select the final delete action. You must be signed in; the server derives the target exclusively from your authenticated Supabase session.

If you cannot use the app, email admin@chessplatform.cc from the address linked to your Chess Platform account. State that you want the account deleted. We may ask for limited verification and will not ask for your password.

The server first stores a durable deletion request and then removes the Supabase authentication account, profile, avatar, device tokens, imported reports, follows, memberships and other account-owned records. Game, tournament and audit history needed for integrity may remain with your account identifier removed.

A separate server worker submits the Supabase UUID to Amplitude User Privacy API v2. This is organization-wide across all Amplitude projects. Acceptance is asynchronous; Amplitude deletion can take up to 30 days and is complete only when Amplitude reports DONE for that user. NOT_FOUND means Amplitude did not match the submitted UUID, not proof that matched data was deleted.

Security and abuse-prevention logs may remain isolated for up to 90 days. Records that law requires us to retain remain only for the legally required period. Provider backups expire on their normal rotation and are not returned to active product use except for disaster recovery.

Older Android builds could create anonymous events before sign-in. Amplitude v2 accepts userIds and amplitudeIds, but not Android deviceId. We cannot guarantee deletion of an anonymous event that was never associated with the Supabase UUID. Current Android builds do not start Amplitude until authentication and confirmation that the user is at least 18.

Android opts out of Amplitude and clears the former identity when deletion starts so it does not send new events with the old UUID. Do not treat the button as confirmation that every processor has already completed; email admin@chessplatform.cc if you need status or assistance.
